African Christian Fellowship shall be a thriving Christian Community that models integrity, excellence, and compassion to mobilize and empower Africans worldwide to impact Africa's generation.

A  Brief History

In 1991, a Family Fellowship comprising four Christian families in New Orleans metropolis began monthly meetings in its members' homes. It multiplied in numbers and the ministry of the Word. In 1993, it became a member of the African Christian Fellowship, USA (ACFUSA), and so was born the African Christian Fellowship, New Orleans Chapter, (ACFNOLA). African Christian Fellowship, USA, is the umbrella organization of about 3,000 members in Chapters spread across the United States and overseas with Chapters in the United Kingdom and Africa. It began in 1977 as African Christian Students Fellowship but was later changed to African Christian Fellowship, USA, to accommodate no longer students. An organization that started with some visionary university students grown to produce some of the best Christian professionals and body of Christ in all life works. Besides the young adults, children of the organization's elder members are actively carrying on the legacy passed on to them to be earnest Christians, productive and law-abiding, and shining the light of the glory of God into the communities they live.

New Year Message from the ACF New Orleans President

Fresh start
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you people of God. We believe that the year 2022 will be a successful year for us as we walk closely with the Lord. Please read Colossians 3: 1-10
Living as Those Made Alive in Christ
1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry.
6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.
7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.
8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices
10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

Renewing our minds
As believers, our greatest desire should be to grow into a deeper life of faith. What does life look like this 2022? More knowledge of and obedience to the Word, fresher encounters with the Holy Spirit, deeper experiences in worship and prayer, more intimate relationships with people in God’s family, more radical commitments to humble service, and a purer life of holiness. The seeds of this life are planted in our hearts as we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. My prayer is that these seeds will grow and blossom.
ACF New Orleans Chapter has declared a one-week fast starting from today, 2nd of January 2022. Our prayer Secretary, brother Gabriel Ojo has sent out our prayer topics. Faith in Christ is the hope of glory. Our fresh start is renewing our strength in the Holy Spirit. Prayers and fasting will help us to focus on the Lord.

Yours in His Service
Patience Obih,
President, ACF New Orleans Chapter

Core Areas

Four Core Strategic Objectives guide the African Christian Fellowship. Each of the principles provides a framework for local, regional, national, and international program implementation.

Reconnecting with the continent

Initiate and maintain active and relevant connections with Africa's continent (through support for missions, church planting, evangelistic outreach, business, and economic investments).

Building Bridges

Establish viable and productive (cooperative and collaborative) relationships with other Christian organizations (African and other people groups) that share common believes, vision, and objectives with the ACF.

Building the ACF Family and Community

Build and preserve a stable, functional, and harmonious Christian community that effectively addresses the spiritual, physical, social, and emotional needs and recognizes its members' diversity.

Passing The Legacy

Inculcate our children and youth an appreciation for our cultural and Christian values, thereby equipping them to serve God in their generation effectively.
